Food for Faith

How often do we anticipate what is ahead only to find out that it was not what we thought? This is one of the reasons why we must not lean to our own understanding, but acknowledge God as the all-knowing God. (Proverbs 3:5-7). We are also admonished to walk by faith and not by sight. (2 Corinthians 5:7). It is imperative that we learn to turn all our situations over to Him because His yoke is easy and His burden is light. (Matthew 11:28-30). He can be trusted! He declares that He will not let you down. (Romans 10:11). If we would only heed the words from an old hymn, “What needless pain we bear when we do not take it first to God in prayer.” God has already spoken to us in plain, unambiguous language that if we are to receive anything from Him we must first trust Him. (James 1:6-7).
